While announcing the feature, Google’s Vice President India and Southeast Asia, Rajan Anandan, said there was over 45 percent increase in the number of job search queries in the fourth quarter of the calendar year 2017. Of this, more than 50 percent search was done through mobile phones. Whereas, Earlier in 2017, the same feature was launched in the US. Therefore it doesn’t take many years to come to the India where billions of people spend more time on Google to access information. So, this feature will add an advantage for unemployed people from India to find jobs that are best suited for their skills. This feature also allows the small and medium level companies to level up on the search results which helps them to find job seekers. For listing in the comprehensive job list results, Google has provided separate open documentation that helps Job providers to top the search results. “We want to make discovery of relevant jobs easier and help people find opportunities that are near them. This new job search experience, powered by our partners and our open platform approach, attempts to bridge the gap (between employers and workforce),” he added

For this jobs search engine, Google has partnered with Aasaanjobs, Freshersworld, Headhonchos, IBM Talent Management Solutions, LinkedIn, QuezX, QuikrJobs, Shine.com, T-Jobs, TimesJobs, and Wisdomjobs. Using this partnered websites, the search engine retrieves the comprehensive job list that is placed in the separate module at the top of the results. The comprehensive job list is prepared based on the query given by the user.
